KTR Alleges Diversion Politics Over Phone Tapping Case
Hyderabad, Jan. 20 (Maxim News) : Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KTR accused the Congress government of using the phone tapping case as a diversion tactic. He said former minister Harish Rao appeared before the SIT responsibly after receiving notices.
KTR addressed a press meet at Telangana Bhavan and alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was attempting to spread his own criminal image. He claimed the government was avoiding questions on governance failures and unfulfilled promises.
KTR said no official statement had been issued in the phone tapping case so far. He noted that the Supreme Court had earlier dismissed similar allegations against Harish Rao. He alleged the government pursued the issue again with political motives.
He further claimed the notices followed revelations on alleged irregularities in Singareni coal tenders. KTR alleged tender manipulation involving the Chief Minister’s relatives and demanded a probe by a sitting Supreme Court judge.
KTR questioned the silence of central ministers and Singareni officials.
KTR said repeated SIT inquiries would not deter the party from raising corruption issues. He asserted that BRS would continue its legal fight and place faith in the judiciary. (Maxim News)
