Harish Rao Slams SIT Notice To KCR In Phone Tapping Case
Hyderabad, Jan. 29 (Maxim News): Former minister and BRS leader T Harish Rao on Thursday strongly criticised the SIT for issuing a notice to former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the phone tapping case.
Reacting on social media platform X, Harish Rao said touching a mass movement leader amounted to hurting the self respect of Telangana.
He alleged that the Revanth Reddy led Congress government was targeting KCR with political vendetta.
He described KCR as the architect of Telangana statehood who led the state for a decade and positioned it among the top states in the country.
Therefore, he said attempts to malign such a leader reflected desperation rather than facts.
Harish Rao terms SIT action political diversion
Harish Rao alleged that the SIT notice was issued to divert public attention from governance failures and allegations related to the Singareni coal issue.
Harish said the government was using the SIT as a tool for cheap politics ahead of the municipal elections.
Rao further stated that assuming political gains through such actions reflected the ruling party’s political bankruptcy. According to him, power was temporary, while arrogance would eventually face consequences.
Harish Rao asserted that Telangana society stood firmly with KCR and would not be intimidated by what he called political harassment by the Congress. He added that people would respond appropriately through democratic means. (Maxim News)
