President Fed Finance Minister With Yoghurt And Sugar

Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 1 (Maxim News): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman went to Rashtrapati Bhavan before going to Parliament this morning. The Union Minister handed over the budget documents to President Draupadi Murmu. On this occasion, President Murmu herself fed Nirmala Sitharaman a mixture of curd and sugar (dahi-chini). However, it has been a tradition for decades for the Union Finance Minister to go to Rashtrapati Bhavan before presenting the budget documents in Parliament, and feed them the President’s sweets. But this time, is there any ulterior motive behind the President feeding Nirmala Sitharaman curd mixed with sugar? I mean, there is. Because, Curd and sugar are both the images of Goddess Mahalakshmi. In other words.. sweets are fed while undertaking auspicious activities or.. when hearing good things. That is, they are fed with blessings for good luck.. and auspiciousness.

Curd is considered to be the embodiment of Mahalakshmi. Curd is white in color. It is considered a symbol of gentleness and the grace of Goddess Lakshmi. Curd comes from milk. Milk represents the permanent residence of Goddess Lakshmi as well as wealth. It is known that offering curd as an offering during Lakshmi Puja is becoming a tradition. Sugar comes from sugarcane. Sugarcane is a symbol of sweetness, agricultural development, and prosperity. In other words, sugarcane is referred to as a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi.

It is well known that Dhanyalakshmi, one of the eight goddesses of wealth, holds a sugarcane in her hand. That is, India is an agricultural-based country. It is said that the intention behind feeding Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman curd mixed with sugar and curd was to ensure self-sufficiency in agriculture and all sectors dependent on it, as well as the dairy industry.
