Hyderabad: Hyderabad Road Cave In created panic in the city after a major portion of the main road caved in near Fever Hospital. The incident took place at Tilak Nagar crossroads in Hyderabad. The collapse occurred during peak traffic hours. As a result, commuters faced traffic problems in the busy area.

According to details, a large pit formed on the main road at Tilak Nagar crossroads near Vidya Nagar Fever Hospital. Traffic movement was heavy at the time. However, traffic police responded immediately after receiving information. They stopped vehicles and set up barricades. Therefore, a major accident was avoided.

Water Leakage Cited for Hyderabad Road Cave

Officials said a nala flows beneath the collapsed road. Notably, the same stretch had caved in about six months ago. Authorities then reconstructed the road. Now, the road has sunk again. As a result, criticism has emerged over the contractor’s work.

Meanwhile, the police department responded to the incident. They stated that a water leakage caused the pit to form. Therefore, repair works will continue for two days at the site. Officials also advised buses and other heavy vehicles to use alternative routes during this period.

The Hyderabad Road Cave In has once again raised concerns about road quality and maintenance in the area. Later, authorities are expected to complete repairs and restore normal traffic flow. Until then, commuters travelling towards Tilak Nagar crossroads near Fever Hospital should plan their routes carefully.
