Hyderabad: A tragic incident has shocked Kamareddy district after the bodies of three children who had gone missing were found floating in a pond. The discovery has created widespread concern and sadness in the area. All three victims were under the age of eight, which has deepened the grief among residents and relatives.
According to police details, the children belonged to a family living in RB Nagar Colony in Kamareddy district. Their father works as an auto driver. The three children were identified as Seepath (8), Aayath (7), and Mariam (5). They had reportedly been missing since Saturday morning.
Family members said the children did not return home after leaving earlier in the day. Their disappearance caused panic in the family. Therefore, relatives and villagers searched across the area for the children. However, when the search yielded no results, the family approached the police and filed a complaint.
Bodies of children discovered in Kamareddy pond
After receiving the complaint, police began search operations in and around the town. Meanwhile, the search took a tragic turn when the bodies of the three children were found in a large pond in the town. The discovery created a tense atmosphere across the district.
Police began an investigation immediately after the bodies were recovered. During questioning, officers noticed inconsistencies in the father’s statements regarding the incident. Therefore, the police detained him for further questioning.
According to the father’s statement, he took the children in his auto earlier in the day and dropped them at his shop. He said he then left for a ride. However, police found some aspects of his explanation unclear. As a result, they decided to question him further.
Police probe multiple child disappearance cases
Investigators are examining all possible angles in the case. Police believe that further questioning may help clarify how the children ended up in the pond. Some initial observations also raised the possibility that the children may have fallen into the water while playing. However, officials are continuing their inquiry to establish the exact circumstances.
Meanwhile, the incident has increased anxiety among residents because several children have gone missing in the district recently. For the past two days, families in Kamareddy have reported similar concerns.
On Friday, two boys named Simhadri (10) and Vijay (9) from Gosangi Colony also went missing. After their families filed complaints, police formed special teams to search for them. Search operations are currently underway.
Because of these developments, fear has spread among local residents. The repeated disappearance of children has raised serious concerns among families in the district. Police officials said they are conducting a rapid investigation into the cases.
