Delhi/Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News): A team of Assam Police went to the residence of senior Congress leader Pawan Khera on Tuesday after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife Riniki Bhuyan filed a police case. Pawan Khera had recently alleged that Riniki Bhuyan had passports of three countries and foreign assets, which the CM had not disclosed in his affidavit. Riniki Bhuyan denied these allegations as completely baseless. A police case has been filed against him. With this, the Assam Police team along with the Nizamuddin Area Police went to Pawan Khera’s residence to question him. As Pawan Khera was not there, they are waiting for him. It is said that he is not in Delhi at present and is likely to be in the Congress-ruled state of Telangana.
Pawan Kheda alleged in a recent media conference that Himanta Biswa Sharma’s wife has three passports from the UAE, Antigua and Barbuda and Egypt. He said that Himanta has spent his entire life with hatred against Muslims, but his wife has passports from two Muslim countries. Are they preparing to flee the country after the defeat in the elections? He questioned. He also alleged that Himanta’s wife has two properties of her own in Dubai and the US state of Wyoming.
Himanta Biswa Sharma has rejected Pawan Kheda’s allegations. He said that Pawan Kheda is making baseless allegations as the people are ready to give them a historic verdict once again, and that the truth will come out and his false propaganda will be put to rest, and he may even go to jail. Riniki Bhuyan also rejected Pawan Kheda’s allegations against her. In her complaint to the police, she stated that India does not allow any dual citizenship and that it is false that she has three passports. (Maxim News)
