Hyderabad, April 26 (Maxim News): State IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu has called for staying away from harmful habits like gutka, pan masala, khaini and drugs. He made it clear that the use of drugs is harmful and the government is taking strict steps to curb them. He attended the oral cancer awareness marathon organized by the Global Oral Cancer Trust at Sattva Knowledge Park in Rayadurgam as the chief guest on Sunday.
Minister Sridhar Babu flagged off the 10K run. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The cases of oral cancer in the country are increasing alarmingly due to the use of tobacco products. Lakhs of people are losing their lives every year. Everyone should work hard to build a healthy society.”
Many celebrities participated in this program and encouraged the youth. On the other hand, Cyberabad CP Ramesh started the 5K run and said that such awareness programs are necessary as a social responsibility along with maintaining law and order. Similarly, Dr. Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan Rao started the 2K run and called on doctors and citizens to work together for a cancer-free society. (Maxim News)
