DGP CV Anand | Hyderabad, May 7 (Maxim News) : DGP C. V. Anand said the Telangana government has given top priority to drug control across the state. DGP Anand stated that drug abuse continues to affect many families and society at large.
The DGP Anand said the EAGLE Force has been working actively to prevent drug trafficking and abuse. He added that the special force conducted operations not only in other states but also in foreign countries.
According to CV Anand, the EAGLE Force busted several networks linked to drug supply. He praised the narcotics wing for achieving strong results despite staff shortages.
The DGP said police departments in all districts must focus more on controlling drugs. He stressed that local police units should increase surveillance and strengthen enforcement activities against narcotics networks.
DGP CV Anand Urges Colleges to Take Responsibility
CV Anand also called on college managements to play a bigger role in preventing drug abuse among students. He said educational institutions must stay alert and support awareness efforts against narcotics.
Anand warned that drug addiction creates serious social and family problems. Therefore, authorities need coordinated action from police, colleges, parents, and society to tackle the issue effectively.
The Telangana Police has intensified anti drug operations in recent years. Officials continue to track interstate and international drug supply chains to curb narcotics activity in the state. (Maxim News)
