Hyderabad, May 23: A second year B.Sc student of Gandhi Medical College allegedly died due to medical negligence at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, triggering protests and allegations from her family members.
The deceased was identified as Pallavi Goud. She was admitted to the hospital after developing a chest related health problem.
According to reports, doctors initially performed a surgery on Pallavi. However, after the first procedure reportedly failed, doctors conducted a second surgery.
Family Alleges Negligence By Doctors
Pallavi’s family members alleged that excessive bleeding continued even after the second surgery and claimed that negligence by doctors led to her death.
The family also expressed anger over the delay in handing over Pallavi’s body.
Following a complaint filed by the family, police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.
Officials are examining the circumstances surrounding the treatment and surgeries performed on the student at Gandhi Hospital.
