According to revenue records, Survey Number 18 is classified as “Sarkari Kancha” and “Poramboke Kancha.” Therefore, the land belongs to the government.

Officials further found that the fake GOs included rules that do not apply to the land.

Moreover, the Telangana government said some people deliberately created and circulated the fake documents on social media platforms and WhatsApp groups.

Criminal Case Registered

The Gandipet Tahsildar filed a complaint at Narsingi Police Station against the persons involved in the fake GO circulation.

Subsequently, police started legal action and began an investigation into the forgery case.

Officials also informed the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and other revenue departments about the issue.

Furthermore, the Telangana government urged people not to trust unverified documents circulating online.

Officials advised the public to verify land related information only through official government websites and authorised communication channels.

The government again clarified that the Gandipet land regularisation GOs circulating on social media were fake and misleading.(Maxim News)
