Supreme Court Issues Notices in MLC Appointments Row

Meanwhile, Amer Ali Khan reportedly told the court that the Governor had initially recommended his name but later changed the decision. The submission triggered further discussion before the bench regarding the role of the Governor in appointments made based on cabinet recommendations.

The bench questioned what role the Governor could play once the appointments were made according to the state cabinet’s decision. However, the court did not pass any final order on the issue during Friday’s hearing.
