Hyderabad, August 9: India’s wedding and film industries will come together for the first time at WV Connect Season 4 in Hyderabad from September 1 to 3, 2026.
The three day summit will be held at Arth Resorts under the theme “Weddings & Films.” It will bring together more than 800 delegates from over 20 cities.
WV Connect Opens New Business Opportunities
The event will connect wedding planners, filmmakers, production designers, hospitality brands, photographers, decorators and technology providers.
Organisers said the two industries share creativity, storytelling, production skills and technology. They noted that luxury weddings increasingly use film style sets, lighting, choreography, cinematography and visual effects.
The summit is being positioned as a business platform for collaboration between the two sectors. It will explore opportunities in production design, wedding cinematography, destination weddings and immersive experiences.
Film professionals could also find new opportunities in weddings. These include work in lighting, sound, cameras, drones, visual effects and production design.
Meanwhile, wedding planners could adopt filmmaking techniques such as virtual production, projection mapping and AI powered guest experiences.
The initiative could also create opportunities for hospitality companies, tourism bodies, technology firms and MSMEs. Organisers said it could support employment across event management, decoration, logistics, fabrication and other creative services.
The summit will feature keynote addresses, WedX Talks, B2B meetings, speed networking sessions and knowledge forums. It will also host experiential showcases and the WV Awards 2026.
Ramoji Film City is partnering with the event for its “Weddings & Films” edition. The collaboration is expected to strengthen links between the wedding and film ecosystems.
The summit countdown began at Arth Resorts in the presence of Kishore Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of Arth Resorts, Ruchi Pant of Ramoji Film City, art director and production designer Sabu Cyril, and wedding photographer Photriya Venky.
Organisers said Hyderabad was selected because of its growing luxury wedding market and established film production ecosystem.
WV Connect is guided by an advisory board comprising professionals from the film, hospitality and wedding sectors. N. DakshinaaMurthi, Founder and CEO of WV Connect, said the summit aims to create new business opportunities by connecting the two industries.
