Hyderabad, Sept. 14 (Maxim News): PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud on Monday accused former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of breaking his promise to make a Dalit the Chief Minister of Telangana.
Speaking to media at Gandhi Bhavan, he said the Dalit community will never forgive KCR for this betrayal.
He alleged KCR used the Dalit card only to get votes and never genuinely cared for their welfare.
Mahesh Kumar Goud challenged BRS on its own record. He asked why the party never implemented its 2003 document on Dalit welfare.
Goud also accused BRS of ignoring the promise of three acres of land for Dalits and failing to deliver on Dalit Bandhu as originally intended.
Taking a sharp dig at BRS leaders who purified ground walked on by Dalits, Goud said it is their minds that need purifying, not the earth.
He said placing statues of Ambedkar means nothing unless his teachings are followed. He added that KCR has no moral right to even speak about Dalits.
PCC Chief Demands BRS Give Opposition Leader Post to BC Leader, for this the name of the Telasani Srinivas Yadav.
At the BRS mock assembly, Goud noted that the party gave the CM role to a BC leader in the exercise.
He challenged KCR to show sincerity by making Talasani Srinivas Yadav the Leader of Opposition.
He said since KCR does not attend the Assembly anyway, giving the opposition leader position to a BC leader would be a real gesture.
Mahesh Goud added that if BRS makes that move, the Congress government will consider lifting their suspension.
On Konda Surekha, Goud said the party has received no information about AICC calling her to Delhi.
He said government assets encroached by anyone must be recovered and returned to the public. (Maxim News)
