Hyderabad, Aug.31 (Maxim News): TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi on Saturday demanded that the State government immediately stop uranium extraction at Nallamalla forest in Nagarkurnool district. He urged the government to protect the forest areas and stop playing with the lives of Chenchu tribals in the forest.
He said the uranium extraction would also lead to the pollution of the drinking water. He said the endangered species like tiger would also disappear from the forest if the uranium extraction was undertaken. He said the Congress would lead an agitation if it went ahead with its decision to take up the uranium extraction. (Maxim News)
