Breast Cancer Screening Camp Held At GHMC Main Office

Hyderabad, Sept.11 (Maxim News): Mayor Bonthu Rammohan today appealed to the sanitation women workers to get body screening for breast cancer for early detection, if any.

Inaugurating a camp in GHMC Head Office here today, the Mayor exhorted the women to utilize the advanced technology to detect the disease at early stage and take precautionary methods. He also said the wearable devise for screening the disease would made available to the poor people and will be arranged at Basti Dawakhanas in the near future.

The GHMC was providing medical device which enables early detection of breast cancer. Based on the results and response, the facility will be extended to zones of the Corporation said, he said. Commissioner Lokesh Kumar said Breast Cancer is the most dreaded disease among the women.

Additional Commissioner Hari Chandana said the device is very simple and every ordinary woman can take screening test, the Japan device is wearable, Radiation free, no pain, no touch. Addl Commissioners Sandeep Jha, Shruthi Ojha, AMOHs and other senior officials participated in the meeting. (Maxim News)
