CS Directs Officials To Prepare Report On Solid Waste Management To Be Submitted To NGT
Hyderabad, Jan.13 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar directed officials to prepare reports on implementation of Solid Waste Management, Bio-Medical Waste Rules, Polluted River Stretches and District Environment plans in accordance with the directions of the National Green Tribunal by January 31 to be submitted to the NGT.
Chief Secretary reviewed the various issues, which would come up at NGT with officials at BRKR Bhavan today. He directed the officials to incorporate the steps taken so far by the government and the progress achieved thus far in the report.
MA&UD Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, IAS, briefed about the steps being taken to implement Time Line Action Plan as per the NGT guidelines. Panchayat Raj Principal Secretary Vikas Raj, IAS, explained about the sanitation program and steps being taken for waste collection in gram panchayats.
Arvind Kumar, Vikas Raj, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, IAS, Secretary of Animal Husbandry department, Neetu Prasad, IAS, Member-Secretary, Pollution Control Board, Venkata Narasimha Reddy, MD, TSIIC and other officials attended the meeting. (Maxim News)
