Formulate Action Plans On Use Of IT In SHGs: CS

Hyderabad, March 5 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has directed officials to formulate action plans on use of Information Technology (IT), Capacity building, livelihoods, Enterprise, development and Convergence regarding in the area of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the State.

As per the direction of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Chief Secretary held a review meeting on different activities and preparation of action plan of SERP and MEPMA at BRKR Bhavan today.

He instructed the officials to focus on agriculture, food processing, soil testing, growing of vegetables, animal husbandry, nutrition etc., to change the livelihood of SHG women in the State. He directed officials to work in small groups and prepare detailed roadmaps for each area.

He asked the officials to provide seamless services to SHGs through use of IT and to initiate steps to make every SHG group to get bank linkage. He urged the officials to ensure reduction of malnutrition among children and anemia among women in the State through convergence of SHGs respective line departments.
