CS Visits Metro Stations in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, May 31(Maxim News): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today visited metro stations and inspected service arrangements for travellers. Following Covid19 protocols at metro stations in the city he inspected facilities.
The Chief Secretary asked about gadgets functioning and passengers number in the Covid effect during the lockdown relaxation timings today morning.
He was accompanied by HMRL MD NVS Reddy and L&TMRHL MD KVB Reddy, the chief secretary traveled by a metro train from Khairatabad station to Ameerpet metro interchange station.
His visit assumes significant as number of passengers fell down to about 4000 a day from previous 4 lakhs due to lockdown and Corona according to sources.
Dinesh Kumar interacted with the passengers and enquired about the train services, safety measures etc.
On the occasion the passengers appreciated the facilities and safety arrangements. They requested for extension of metro train timings, so that they can reach home comfortably after the closure of offices/businesses.
Based on this feedback, CS advised both the MDs to extend the services by another hour or so. As a result the officials took a decision to extend service till 2 pm.
The officials informed that the last trains in each direction will now leave the terminal station at 1 pm instead of 11.45 am and reach the destination stations at 2pm from Tuesday. (Maxim News)
