Pay salaries and pensions to govt employees and retirees on first of every month: Bandi Sanjay to KCR

Hyderabad, July 25: Highlighting inordinate delay in disbursement of monthly salaries to government employees and contract staff, and pensions to pensioners, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay wrote a letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday night asking him to abide by Article 21 and 300 (A) of the Constitution for payment of salaries and pensions on first of every month.

The BJP chief brought to the notice of the CM that employees and pensioners are waiting till the 15th of every month to get their salaries and pensions. “TRS government is violating ‘Right to Life’ of employees and pensioners by delaying payment of salaries and pensions,” he criticized.

Bandi Sanjay slammed the KCR government for pushing the state into debt despite Telangana being formed with a Rs 16,000 crore surplus budget in 2014. “Even the emergency and health reimbursement bills, payment of advances, and withdrawal of part final were also kept pending by the state government,” he mentioned.
