Revanth demands judicial probe into “Cash for MLAs, says KCR, KTR culprits

Hyderabad, Oct.29 (NSS): TPCC president Revanth Reddy today demanded that the MLA poaching case should be investigated under the supervision of a sitting judge of the Supreme Court. He criticised the TRS and BJP parties for resorting to the drama of buying MLAs in order to derail Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Padayatra and the Munugode elections.

He said, “The CBI, ED and IT organisations are in the hands of the Centre, the State Police and ACB are working under the direction of KCR. In this context, nobody can trust the Central and State governments.” Hence, he demanded that the MLA purchase case should be investigated under the supervision of a Supreme Court judge with daily reports and that KCR and KTR should be included as A1 and A2 in this case. He said, “Whenever there are by-elections in the State, TRS and BJP parties are working in coordination to damage the Congress party politically. They are creating an environment in which those who want to defeat KCR will vote for BJP and those who want to defeat BJP will vote for TRS. Thus, they are trying to make Congress irrelevant.”

He cited the Dubbaka by-election as an example for this, stating that “During the Dubbaka election, Harish Rao kept creating controversies. Before the election day, money was found with Raghunandan Rao’s brother-in-law and police cases were filed against Raghunandan Rao. With this, they created a positive environment for Raghunandan Rao and hence people voted for BJP in Dubbaka with the aim of defeating KCR and out of sympathy for Raghunandan Rao. Subsequently, Raghunandan went to the Assembly and nobody knows what happened to the money found and the cases filed against him.”

He went on to say that in Huzurabad too, Etela Rajender won by sympathy, because the TRS party had created the feeling that injustice was done to a Telangana Udhyamakarudu and a person from the weaker sections. He said as a result, all the votes of the Congress party went to Etala due to sympathy. He questioned, “What happened to the cases of land encroachment against Etela, after he won? Where are the people who said they will send Etela to jail? Both Amit Shah in Delhi and KCR in the State are conspiring to keep their common enemy, the Congress party, out of the game.

Whenever by-elections come, they are flaring emotions for political advantage. A few days ago, I called on the ranks to counter such conspiracies as the same thing was likely to happen in the Munugode by-elections as well. And that is exactly what is happening now.” He stated that the farmhouse drama that started three days ago has reached its peak and that farm houses were lucky charms for KCR and KTR. He said, “All this is being done to divert people’s attention from Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and the Munugode by-elections. That is why the issue of poaching TRS MLAs was brought up for public discourse. According to the audio records released so far, pilot Rohit Reddy is asking them for money. He is bargaining to bring other MLAs. Then how can the PC Act be applied without including Rohit Reddy and the MLAs who are with him as accused. How will the case if Rohit Reddy who demanded money is not made an accused in the case and instead the Tantriks who promised to fulfil the demands are named as the accused. That is why the ACB rejected the remand. Does Stephen Ravindra not know this?”

He questioned why only the tantriks’ phones were seized while the phones of the MLAs, who were also involved in this affair have not been seized. He also asked why the MLAs of Kodangal and Chevella, whose names were discussed in the audio tapes, were not being investigated and why their phones haven’t been seized. He added that phones along with the CCTV cameras are crucial to prove the case.

Revanth Reddy also stated, “The MLAs were taken to Pragati Bhavan from the crime scene, by the police. Since then those MLAs have not been seen. Where are they? What did they do to them? There are allegations that this affair took place under the supervision of KCR, who is the gang leader of these MLAs. If so, KCR should be included as A1 and KTR as A2, and then the MLAs should be included as accused. If not, the Delhi elders 1, 2 should be included as A1, A2 and Santhosh Ji as A3 and then the Tantriks should be included as accused and cases should be registered against all of them.”

He said that one would have to doubt the sincerity of the police, as some of the participants in this event are walking freely while others are being arrested. He demanded that all the items found at the crime scene should be seized and deposited in court, and then they should be analysed with the permission of the court after which the charge sheet should be filed. He expressed several doubts over the case “Which items were deposited in court in this case? If the phones were seized, how did the audio records come out? Only the edited versions of the audio have come out. It is the responsibility of the investigating agencies to tell us what actually happened. The responsible C.M., Home Minister and DGP should respond to these issues.”

Revanth stated, “In the last 8 years, the BJP government has demolished 11 State governments elected by the people and destroyed democracy by trading MLAs. Buying MLAs is not new to KCR as well, who has bought 32 MLAs since 2014.” He demanded that CM KCR should give a public explanation about what happened in this whole episode. He said State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar was behaving like a joker. “In the audio tapes that came out, it was revealed that Sanjay and Kishan Reddy did not have any role in the episode and that they were not even considered important enough to be informed about it. Then why is Bandi Sanjay swearing before God? People won’t believe him even if he swears by pouring acid and not water over himself. If he is so innocent, why didn’t he accept the challenge I threw a few days ago for him to swear on Yadagirigutta Narasimha Swamy to ask for votes without distributing liquor or money in the Munugode elections. I am still up for the challenge. I will come and take an oath, will Bandi Sanjay and KTR come and take the oath along with me? Or all the three party candidates can go and take an oath. The Congress party is ready for it.”
