Cancel EC orders against Dalit Bandhu: Mallepally Lakshmaiah urges HC

Hyderabad, Oct.21 (Maxim News): Social Scientist Mallepally Lakshmaiah today urged the High Court to stay the orders given by the Election Commission stalling Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huuzrabad segment going for by-elections on October 30. He moved the Court and urged it to lift the stay orders of the Election commission.

The EC has issued orders against the constitution as the scheme was old one and continuing, he informed the court. The government allotted funds in its state budget and Dalit Bandhu is an old scheme, the social scientist informed. Since the ongoing schemes cannot be stopped by the poll body its orders against Dalit Bnadhu is not correct, he argued in the petition. He said that EC stalled only Dalit Bandhu scheme while there are other several ongoing schemes. It is against the SC, ST welfare norms and violation of the constitution, he said.

Thus the High Court has to cancel the EC orders stalling the Dalit Bandhu scheme, he urged. The court is to give its order as the segment will be facing polls on Oct 30 and results to be announced on November 2. (Maxim News)
