Complete Restoration of Bansilalpet Stepwell by Aug. 15: Talasani
Hyderabad, May 19 (Maxim News): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has directed the officials concerned to expedite the ongoing development works and complete them in a stipulated period in Sanath Nagar Assembly Constituency.
The Minister held a meeting with officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad Metro Development Authority, Revenue and Endowment departments at the Municipal Administration Office, Masab Tank, here on Thursday. Special chief secretary municipal Aravind Kumar was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Yadav said the restoration of Stepwell was taken up at the cost of Rs.2 crore in Bansilalpet under the HMDA and over 60 percent of works have been completed so far. Stating that the State government has decided to develop the Stepwell as a tourist destination by providing all amenities, including walking track, fountain, view point sky walk, cafeteria and benches to the visitors on the premises, the Minister directed the officials to complete the works by August 15.
The officials were also asked to take appropriate measures to sort out the land disputes related to the Zeera colony, Somappa Math and Shyamala Kunta Colony in the constituency for the construction of double bed rooms. The Minister also directed officials to speed up the beautification of Gandhi Park and installation of Mahatma Gandhi statue on MG Road and to complete all works in a stipulated period by removing the structures on the project premises.
