Congress Government Fails to Deliver ₹2500 & Gold Promise: Kavitha

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (Maxim News): In a major setback for women in Telangana, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has officially stated in the Legislative Council that the Congress government cannot fulfill its promise of providing ₹2500 and 1 tola (10 grams) of gold.

During the question hour, BRS MLC K Kavitha, pointed out that the minister Ponnam Prabhakar openly admitted that the much-publicised scheme is not feasible for implementation, leaving many women disappointed. This announcement has sparked criticism, as the promise was a key part of Congress’ election manifesto.

Opposition parties and the public are now questioning the government’s credibility, demanding accountability for the unfulfilled commitment.
