Covid-19: Telangana Records 975 New Cases, Six Deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana records 975 new Covid-19 positive cases including 861 cases from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), and six fatalities on Monday. The new cases on Monday pushed the overall number of positive cases to 15,394 while fatalities increased to 253.

Hyderabad witnessed a surge in Covid-19 cases with 861 positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative number of positive cases from the State’s capital to 11,672.

According to daily health bulletin, 410 patients were discharged from hospitals post recovery on Monday which took the number of recovered and discharged cases in the State to 5,582. The count of active patients is 9,559 in Telangana.

Out of the 975 positive cases, 861 persons from Hyderabad tested positive while 40 were from Rangareddy, 20 from Medchal, 14 from Sangareddy, 10 from Karimnagar, eight from Bhadradri Kothagudem, five from Warangal Rural, four from Warangal Urban, three from Mahabubnagar, two cases each from Nalgonda, Kamareddy and Yadadri and one each positive case from Siddipet, Asifabad, Gadwal and Mahabubabad.
