Hyderabad, Nov 23 (Maxim News): The Government of Andhra Pradesh participated in the Singapore Fintech festival organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore from the 14th-18th November.
It is said to be the world’s largest fintech event; about 13,000 people participated from over 55 countries. The Government of Andhra Pradesh was the only Indian state government representing at the event and attracted a lot of attention by global startups, banks, accelerators & leaders about its progressive strategy on Fintech.
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu firmly believes that the convergence of finance and technology has created large avenues of growth and thus FinTech is one of the main pillars of development for the state.
The delegation, headed by Mr J A Chowdary Special Chief Secretary & IT Advisor to the Chief Minister, spoke about the FinTech Valley Vizag – a self-sustainable global FinTech ecosystem that focusses on capacity building, enhanced access to market, world class infrastructure and conducive policies for business growth.
Mr Chowdary said, “The Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Monetary Authority of Singapore have strengthened their relationship further during this festival after recently signing the MOU on the FinTech collaboration in Vijayawada. Andhra Pradesh is focused on making Vizag the Fintech capital of the country.”
Ms LathaAyyar, Special Representative for IT & Innovation (GoAP) said, “the MOU is a win-win for both AP and Singapore. It will provide access to talent pool and market to the Singapore startups and help Vizag kick start the startup ecosystem.” (Maxim News)
