Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions for Mehdipatnam skywalk construction near the Rythu Bazar and bus stop area. The restrictions will be in force during the intervening night of March 14 and March 15.
Officials said the construction work will be carried out between 12 am and 6 am. Traffic diversions and alternative routes will be implemented to ensure smooth vehicle movement.
Traffic coming from Tolichowki, Langer House, and Attapur towards Masab Tank will be diverted. Vehicles will be redirected at PVNR Expressway Pillar Number 23 through a U turn. They will later rejoin the regular route near Pillar Numbers 4 and 5.
Vehicles travelling from Masab Tank, NMDC, and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital towards Rethibowli and Nanal Nagar will also face diversions. Traffic will be diverted near PVNR Expressway Pillar Numbers 2 and 3 close to Azizia Mosque.

As per the advisory, vehicles will be rerouted via Meraj Cafe junction and rejoin the regular route near Mehdipatnam at Pillar Number 15. Traffic police said signboards and personnel will be deployed to guide motorists.
Commuters have been advised to check updates on the official Hyderabad Traffic Police social media platforms. Updates will be available on Facebook and the HYDTP handle on X.
In case of emergencies, motorists can contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626. Officials urged citizens to plan their travel in advance and follow alternative routes.
The traffic police requested motorists to cooperate during the construction period. Authorities said these measures are necessary to avoid congestion and ensure safety during the skywalk construction work.
