Maulana Mohammed Naseeruddin Passes Away

Hyderabad: Maulana Mohammed Naseeruddin was a renowned religious scholar and orator of Hyderabad.

He was the President of Wahdat-e-Islami. He was very outspoken and didn’t hesitate to raise voice against the injustices done to the community.

Maulana’s life was full of challenges. Police cases and incarceration had become part of his and his families’ lives.

It is to mention here that Maulana spent more than five years in Gujarat jail for his alleged inflammatory speeches. He is said to have memorized Quran while being in jail. He was acquitted of all terror charges on January 12, 2010.

Funeral prayer will be performed today at Eidgah Ujale Shah Saheb and he will be laid to rest in the abutting graveyard.
