Over 96 Lakh Vaccinations Given in State: CS

Hyderabad, June 25 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today said that around 96 lakh vaccinations have been given so far in the state and In a couple of days it is set to cross one crore vaccinations mark.

In order to optimally utilize the supplies provided by the government of India, the state government has taken up vaccination of high exposure groups on a priority basis as per the directions of the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, under super spreaders vaccination 25 lakhs persons have been vaccinated.

Chief Secretary visited Monda Market and inspected the “Work Place” vaccination centre. He interacted with the street vendors and motivated them to get vaccinated. The vendors appreciated the move of the government to arrange vaccination at their work place.

Chief Secretary stated that vaccination is being done across all the 100 centres and 30 mobile units within GHMC. A mop up drive is being done in GHMC limits and all those who missed the vaccination during the special vaccination drive are being vaccinated now.

He congratulated the staff of the Health Department for their service.
