Meanwhile, Congress activists staged a protest at the AI Conference Hall. They opposed the Prime Minister and referred to the agreements signed with world leaders, including America. However, Revanth Reddy commended the summit and described it as a key step in shaping India’s AI future.

Speaking at the summit, the Chief Minister proposed the creation of a dedicated AI Ministry. He said such a ministry should frame laws to prevent misuse of AI, protect national security, and ensure AI supports social justice and poverty eradication. He also suggested forming an India AI Council on the lines of the GST Council or NITI Aayog to serve as an apex body for AI policy and coordination.

Furthermore, he proposed setting up a National AI War Room with participation from the Centre and States to monitor rapid AI developments. He said Hyderabad is ready to host and build such a facility if the Government of India approves it. In addition, he called for the creation of a world class AI University with campuses across India focused on original research.

Addressing policymakers, global technology experts, innovators, and industry leaders, Revanth Reddy described Artificial Intelligence as “mankind’s greatest invention.” He said the world is witnessing a transformational moment comparable to the discovery of fire, the invention of the wheel, and the Industrial Revolution.

Congratulating the Government of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw for organising the summit, he said AI marks a fundamental shift in human capability. He observed that while earlier inventions enhanced physical strength, AI now challenges human intellectual supremacy. When combined with robotics, he said, it creates systems with both mental and physical capabilities.

He stressed that India must not miss the AI revolution as it did the Industrial and Manufacturing Revolutions. Although India excelled in services and software, it did not create global technology products. Therefore, he urged the country to move from being a user of global platforms to becoming a producer and owner of AI technologies.

He also put forward Telangana’s proposal to establish an AI Start up Village for the nation with support from the Centre.
