Rs 2-crore Cash Seized At Hightech City Rly Station, Actor Murali Mohan & 5 Others Held

Hyderabad, April 4 (Maxim News): The Cyberabad police on Wednesday night booked a case against Actor and Rajahmundry TDP MP M Murali Mohan and five others in connection with Rs 2 crore unaccounted cash, which was seized at the Hitech City Railway Station here.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said questioning of Srihari and Pandari caught during frisking revealed that the cash was being taken to Rajahmundry to be handed over to Murali Mohan. This was done at the behest of Jagan and Dharmaraju, both employees of Jayabheri, the firm owned by the MP. The police booked six persons, including Srihari, Pandari, Jagan, Dharmaraju, Murali Krishna and Murali Mohan under relevant sections of IPC for election code violation.

The CP said Nimmaluri Srihari and Avuti Pandari were working at Jayabheri Properties as office assistants and as per the instructions of Dharma Raju and Jagan Mohan Rao, they were carrying Rs 2 crore in two bags to hand over the same to Murali Mohan, MP and Yelamanchi Murali Krishna of TDP for distribution among the voters in view of the April general elections. On Wednesday evening, while the Madapur police and SOT were conducting vehicle searches in view of the elections at the Hi-tech city Railway Station, they found Srihari and Avuti Pandari getting down from a passenger auto rickshaw and proceeding by walk carrying two bags towards Hi-tech City Railway Station. When the cops intercepted the duo and searched the bags, they found cash of Rs 2 crore in Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 denominations.

When questioned, Srihari and Avuti Pandari told police that Dharma Raju and Jagan Mohan Rao of Jayabheri Properties gave the amount to them at their office at Plot No.1, Jayabheri Enclave, Gachibowli and asked them to transport the same by train to Rajahmundry where they will be received by Yelamanchi Murali Krishna, follower of MP Murali Mohan at the Rajahmundry railway station. In turn, the money will be handed over to Murali Mohan. The duo said along with the cash kept in two bags they came to the Hi-tech City Railway Station by passenger auto rickshaw and got down near the Railway station. (Maxim News)
