Hyderabad, April 13: Seethakka legal notice to KCR has triggered a fresh political row in Telangana. The move has intensified tensions between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS. Moreover, the development has drawn wide attention in state politics.
The issue relates to allegations on mobile phone procurement for anganwadi teachers. BRS social media units claimed corruption in the purchases. They alleged that low cost phones were bought at higher prices. They also linked Minister Seethakka to the claims.
Seethakka Legal Notice to KCR Over Allegations
However, Seethakka strongly denied the allegations and called them baseless. She said the campaign aimed to damage her reputation without proof. Therefore, she issued a legal notice to KCR as the BRS chief.
In the notice, she demanded an apology for the claims. Otherwise, she warned of legal action. She also stated that all government procurements follow transparent procedures.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders defended the minister and rejected the allegations. They said BRS leaders made such claims after electoral setbacks. However, BRS leaders have not yet responded to the notice. The political response is now awaited.
