GO issued for replacement of streetlights with LED bulbs

Hyderabad: The Telangana State government has issued an amended GO for replacing street lights with LED bulbs.
The State government had earlier issued a GO No. 761 on October 28 last year for replacement of LED bulbs with street lights. But on a suggestion from the GHMC, the government has amended the GO and issued another one paving way for immediate implementation of its order.

The work of replacement of streetlights with LED bulb was given to Energy Efficiency Services Limited. There are 4,12,008 streetlights in the city, which would be replaced with LED bulbs, according to a release from GHMC.
