Mayawati slams PM for demonetisation woes

Calling the Narendra Modi government arrogant, BSP supremo Mayawati on Tuesday attacked the prime minister for the alleged poor implementation of note ban. Addressing the media on Tuesday, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister claimed that the common man is concerned about the inefficiency of the government.

Mayawati also took a jibe at the Modi government, saying that she would pray to God that the government gets some “Sadbuddhi” (good sense) in 2017.
Attacking the demonetisation move for causing trouble to the common man, Mayawati also urged the government to find steps to reduce serpentine lines outside ATMs and banks.

The attack on the Centre comes after Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi addressed a mega parivartan rally in Lucknow. During his speech on Monday, the prime minister took on the SP as well as the main opposition BSP for not prioritising development in the last 15 years.
