Telangana Seeks Increase In Haj Quota, Masiullah Meets Naqvi

Hyderabad,Feb 28(Maxim News): Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Chairman, Telangana State Haj Committee visited New Delhi today and met Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of Minority Affairs (Independent Charge), Government of India along with representation of Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. Chief Minister, Government of Telangana, for enhancement of Haj pilgrims quota from Telangana State. Masiullah Khan informed that the Telangana State Haj Committee has received (17130) Haj Application Forms for Haj-2018 and the Quota is allotted for (4066), leaving (13064) Applicants unselected.  Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi , Union Minister of Minority Affairs (Independent Charge), Government of India assured to look into the matter.

Masiullah Khan Chairman Telangan State Haj Committee also briefed  the Minister for the better and excellent facilities available and use of Begumpet International Airport instead of GMR Airport as the Haj flights are totally Charted Flights and the Begumpet Airport is specifically earmarked for allowing charted flights and it is near to the Haj House in city with all necessary basic amenities and arrangements making it very much convenient for departing and arriving of Haj pilgrims from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka States resulting in saving in paying extra huge UDF Airport charges to the GMR by the Haj Pilgrims every year. The Chairman discussed other related matters of Haj Affairs for Haj-2018 with the Minister.
