Two women caught smuggling gold at RGIA Hyderabad

Shamshabad, April 20: Two women passengers were caught by custom officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad for allegedly possessing gold biscuits worth over Rs.75 lakhs on Wednesday night.

Sources said the women had come from Jeddah and were supposed to hand over the gold smuggled by them to a person in Hyderabad. However, they were intercepted and detained.

The customs officials are questioning the women to get more information about the contacts to whom they were supposed to hand over the gold here.
