10 Kg Gold Biscuits Seized From The Accused In ‘Valmiki’ Corruption Case
Hyderabad, Bengaluru, July 28 (Maxim News): Officials of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Valmiki Development Corporation corruption case have seized 10 kg of gold biscuits from the house of an accused in Hyderabad.

Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials are also investigating the case. The gold, which is believed to have been bought by the accused with corrupt money, was reportedly seized on Thursday night. First Finance Credit Co-operative Society Chairman Satyanarayana Verma was arrested and taken into custody in Hyderabad. It is known that he bought 35 kg of gold with the money received through the bank account.
It was revealed during the investigation that 20 kg of gold was distributed to those involved in the corruption and 15 kg of gold was still in his flat. The SIT officials searched his flat and seized 10 kg of gold. They are searching for another 5 kg.

Satyanarayana Verma and his associates were found to have transferred money from the accounts of Valmiki Development Corporation purchased flats in Hyderabad and seized their records. Rs. 1.82 crore cash and note-counting machines were seized in a raid earlier in a flat belonging to Verma. Valmiki Corporation deposited Rs. 94.73 crores in 18 accounts of the said Cooperative bank. After that more than 270 fake accounts were opened and money was transferred. (Maxim News)
