13 Month-Old Toddler Dies In Abdullapet After Being Run Over By Auto Trolley

Hyderabad, Sept 1 (Maxim News):  In a tragic incident, a 13-month-old boy who was trying to get hold of a puppy while playing near a house in Abdullapurmet was run over by an auto trolley on Monday.

The toddler Lohith, whose parents are daily wage workers and reside in a rented house, was playing in front of the house when the incident occurred.

As per available information, Lohith found a puppy in the neighbourhood and was playing with it. During this, the puppy sneaked under a parked auto trolley and Lohith also went under the trolley. It was then that the driver, who missed to notice the toddler underneath, started the vehicle.

Lohith came under the front wheel of the auto trolley and suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot. The Abdullapurmet police have booked a case of negligence causing death against the auto trolley driver and took him into custody.

It is learnt that the driver told the police he had not seen Lohith underneath the vehicle and started it. (Maxim News)
