14 Air Force Hospital celebrates Blood Donor Day
Secunderabad, 24 Jun 2023: World “Blood Donor” Day is celebrated worldwide on 14 June to create awareness about the need for safe blood and blood products. The theme for 2023 is “Give blood, give plasma, share life, and share often”.
The generous donation of blood by volunteer donors goes a long way in saving millions of lives across the world and enhancing solidarity within communities.
On the same guidelines, 14 Air Force Hospital at Air Force Academy Dundigal, Hyderabad organised a Blood Donation Camp along with PV Narasimha Rao Memorial Trust on 24 June 2023.
The camp was inaugurated by Mrs B Komala, President Air Force Family Welfare Association (Local) Air Force Academy. Air Marshal B Chandra Sekhar, Commandant, Air Force Academy too honoured the event. A total of 38 air warriors and families participated in the camp and 38 units of blood were donated.
