1st dose 100 percent in TS good, take 2nd dose: Governor

Hyderabad, Dec.29 (Maxim News): Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan today expressed pleasure at 100 percent completion of first dose of vaccination in Telangana state. The Governor visited a primary health center at Chintal Basti area in Khairatabad here near Raj Bhavan.

Speaking on the occasion the Governor inspected the facilities and services being offered to the patients. She stated that the people who took the first dose of vaccine should also take the second dose to tackle the omicron spread. Just a single dose is not enough and the people have to take a second dose too, she opined.

The Governor lauded that the state has achieved 100 percent mark of giving first dose of vaccines and 66.1 percent of second doses. The Governor congratulated the government and health minister T Harish Rao, health staff and doctors for the achievement. However, the people should take a second dose to prevent further infections. Since omicron is fast spreading we have to be more careful, she noted.

The Governor appealed to the people to wear masks, sanitise hands and maintain social distance to beat the virus spread. The Governor appealed to the people to follow corona protocols to celebrate New Year. She hoped that New Year 2022 will be a healthy year to tide over virus spread and related problems.
