208 Kg Ganja Seized: Gang Arrested

Hyderabad, Sept 3 (Maxim News): Police have arrested a gang of five members who were transporting ganja in a lorry from Vizianagaram to Maharashtra. 208 kg of ganja was seized from the accused. Officials of the TS Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (TSNAD) along with the police conducted a joint operation and nabbed the accused as per the plan. The details of this extent were disclosed by TS NYAB SP Sunitha Reddy.

The SP claimed that the accused were cultivating ganja in 50 thousand acres in the Andhra-Odisha border (AOB). “According to the plan, we caught the accused.  Ganja is being transported from Vizianagaram to Maharashtra via Jadcharla. A car moves 30 km ahead of a lorry transporting cannabis. Is there police checking anywhere? Or going to check? We seized ganja worth Rs. one crore from them. All the accused are from Maharashtra. The main accused Hasan is absconding, said SP Sunitha.
