22 Gates Of Nagarjuna Sagar Lifted Up
Nalgonda/Hyderabad, Aug 6 (Maxim News): The Nagarjuna Sagar project continues to experience heavy flooding. With this, the authorities raised 22 gates and released water downstream.

Presently project inflow and outflow is 3,00,995 cusecs. Also, the full water level has reached 590 feet. While the current water level is 585.30 feet, the full water storage capacity continues to be 312 TMC. The current storage capacity is 298.300 TMC.
Meanwhile, due to heavy rains above, flood water poured into the Nagarjuna Sagar project. In this background, the authorities lifted six gates on Monday. With this, two lakh cusecs of water will be released. On 25th July, the flood flow from the Srisailam project reached the Nagarjuna Sagar project. With this, the officials first lifted six gates and released the water. Later in the evening, they were released downstream through 16 gates. (Maxim News)
