24 Gates Of Nagarjuna Sagar Lifted Up
Nalgonda/Hyderabad, Sept 7 (Maxim News): Nagarjuna Sagar will continue to flood with rains in Krishna river catchment areas. While the inflow to Sagar is 2.63 lakh cusecs water is being released downstream.

The officials are releasing 2.21 lakh cusecs of water by lifting 24 gates.
Officials said that the full water level of the project is 590 feet and currently the water level is 589.8 feet. Similarly, it has been revealed that the full water storage capacity of Sagar is 312 times and currently 311.44 times of water is stored.

7 GATES OF SRISAILAM LIFTED
The flood water flow coming from the upper area of Srisailam Reservoir is heavy. With this, the authorities are raising 7 gates of the reservoir and releasing the water downstream. It is said that 1.67 thousand cusecs of water is being released through the spillway. 1.92 lakh cusecs will flow to Srisailam from the upper areas.
The maximum water level is 885 feet and currently, the water is stored upto 884.05 feet. Current water storage is 211.91 TMC against maximum water storage of 215.80 TMC. Right and left hydropower stations are generating electricity and releasing 67,632 cusecs of water to Nagarjunasagar. (Maxim News)
