In 1979, the Mandal Commission included 29 backward Muslim castes in the BC category.  As a result, the community was getting reservations as MBCs and BCs in various States, he said, stating that Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay said there was no question of accepting the caste census report if Muslims were included in the BC category, should have minimum awareness being a central minister.

The Chief Minister said in a recently held election campaign meeting in Karimnagar that Bandi Sanjay and Union Minister Kishan Reddy were conspiring to get political mileage by provoking communal sentiments.  It was ridiculous for Kishan Reddy to speak about BCs since he had become BJP State President by bringing down a BC leader Bandi Sanjay.  Moreover, he was also elected as MP from the Secunderabad parliament constituency, which had been represented by another BC leader Bandaru Dattatreya, he said.  He also alleged that Kishan Reddy was trying to create hurdles for the Hyderabad metro rail project by mounting pressure on Union Ministers against clearing files.  Not only metro rail, Kishan Reddy was also creating hurdles for the Regional Ring Road, he claimed.  (Maxim News)
