30,000 Fake SIMs Deactivated: 684 SIMs In The Name Of One Person
Mumbai/Hyderabad, May 17 (Maxim News): The Department of Telecom in Mumbai has simultaneously deactivated 30,000 SIM cards. Deactivated SIM cards forged with different names with the same photos.
Police detected a huge fake SIM racket three days ago. During the investigation, the police concluded that there were hundreds of SIM cards in the name of the same person.
With this, the Telecom Department, which entered the field, identified the SIM cards taken with fake names and ID cards given for the SIM card were forged and taken. A total of 8,247 subscribers were identified in 62 groups. They formed a gang and took fake SIM cards like this..
In the investigation carried out by the Department of Telecom, it was found that 684 SIM cards were taken in the name of a single person. As a result, six FIRs have been registered in Malabar Hill, VP Marg, DB Marg, DN nagar, Sahar and Bangurnagar police stations in Mumbai. (Maxim News)
