305 Trains Canceled Due To The Cyclone Michaung

Hyderabad, Dec 5 (Maxim News): The impact of Cyclone Michaung has now hit the railway department as well. Officials said through social media that the railway authorities are canceling 305 trains in this order.  He said that the passengers were informed about this matter through SMS.

Cyclone Michaung inundated Chennai city along with two Telugu states.  Meteorological Department officials revealed that the typhoon crossed the coast at Bapatla around 2.30 pm today.

CPRO of the South Central Railway has announced that around 305 trains have been canceled due to the typhoon.  The officials explained that apart from the canceled trains, 10 more trains have been diverted on routes other than Gudur and Chennai routes.

In this order, they released a message on the social media platform. At present there is no standing water anywhere on the railway tracks. But it said that areas of standing water had been identified earlier. Officials explained that passengers who have already made reservations have been informed that the trains have been canceled. Information was provided through SMS and social media.

Officials said that reservation charges have already been refunded to many passengers. The officials of South Central Railway said that they will resume the trains as soon as possible after the typhoon passes over the coast.

SCR has set up Helpline No’s at all the Major Stations of Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad * Hyderabad Divisions. Passengers can utilize the service of these services for the latest updates on Train information.
