Hyderabad, May 5 (Maxim News): The 403rd Prakash Purab (Birth Anniversary) of Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Saheb ji who made supreme sacrifices for the country at the altar of Dharma and who spread  the message of peace and communal harmony across the world was celebrated it with religious fervour, gaiety and devotion by offering prayers to Guru Granth Sahibji at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sitafalmandi, Secunderabad on Sunday, (May 5, 2024).

The event was organised under the aegis of Prabandhak Committee, Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sitafalmandi, Secunderabad where hundreds of Sikh devotees and other community faith participated in the  ” Vishaal Deewan ” (Mass Congregation) at Sitafalmandi Gurudwara Saheb premises by offering prayers to Sri Guru Granth Sahibji (Holy Scripture of Sikhs).

The GSGSS Sitafalmandi, Prabhandak Committee, President, S Pratap Singh Osahan and General Secretary S Jaswinder Singh and other committee members said that congregation began this morning at 10.30 AM continued up to 3.30 PM and was marked by the recitations of Gurubani Keertans and Kathas (Holy Hymns) by renowned and reputed Ragi Jathas (Sikh Preachers).

Well known Ragi Jathas, Bhai Jaspal Singhji from Delhi, Bhai Jagdev Singhji, Head Granthi of Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad and other reputed Ragi Jathas who were specially invited for the important occasion recited Gurbani Keertans (Holy Hymns) and delivered Gurbani Vichar (Sermons) that stressed on imbibing the higher values of life and communal harmony for which Guru Teg Bahadur Sahebji strived.
They also have thrown light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus who stood for national integration, peace, brotherhood and communal harmony. They asked devotees to follow the teachings of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahebji which are very relevant these days.

After the culmination of the congregation, the traditional Guru Ka Langar (free community kitchen) was served to all the devotees where devotees sit in the same row with great discipline promoting  the feelings of togetherness, fraternity and concern for fellow human beings. Prabhandak Committee members welcomed the devotees at the mass congregation. (Maxim News)
