Delhi/Hyderabad, Mar 26 (Maxim News): The Indian car market has welcomed electric vehicles with arms wide open. As fuel costs continue to rise, car buyers in India are increasingly turning to Electric Vehicles.
Carmakers from Indian brands to the foreign ones, have been targeting all segments of cars to introduce their EV offerings. Similarly, all major layers are now trying to find footing in the electric compact SUV segment in the country The already popular mid-size, compact SUV segment will soon see stiff competition with these upcoming cars,
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the electric variant of the hugely popular Viatara. Named e Vitara, the EV will come with two battery pack options. The car promises a range of 500 kms on a single charge.
Making its first appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Tata Harrier EV may be launching soon. The electric SUV from the stables of Tata Motors will come equipped with a 75kWh lithium-ion battery pack and claims to return with a range of 500 km in a single charge.
The XUV 3XO EV is expected to hit the Indian roads soon. Like the e Vitara, this EV offering from Mahindra will also come with two battery pack options.
The Windsor EV is set to receive a long-range version with an extended driving range of 460 km in a single charge. Kia’s EV 6 is getting a facelift this year. The updated version will feature a larger 84 kWh battery pack with an extended driving range. (Maxim News)
