635 Kg Of Ganja Seized In Sangareddy

Sangareddy/Hyderabad, Nov 25 (Maxim News): Sangareddy District SP Chennuri Rupesh said that 635 kg of ganja was seized during the vehicle checks conducted in Sangareddy Rural Police Station. Its value is around Rs. 3 crore.

Speaking to the press persons, the Sangareddy District SP said that two Bolero vehicles were seized and the two drivers and the cleaner were taken into custody.  It was found that a box-like structure was arranged in the lower part of the Bolero vehicles and they were transporting ganja.  The three accused have explained that on the orders of their owners Hanuman Mohit and Sameer Gavande from Maharashtra, they bought ganja from a person named Trinath in Jan Bhai Agency area of Odisha and transported it to Maharashtra via Telangana.  

The SP said that on the information of the task force officials the vehicles were inspected and cannabis was seized. The SP asked that if they know that cannabis is being cultivated or transported anywhere, they should immediately inform them.  He said the youngsters are spoiling their precious future by getting addicted to ganja and putting their families in trouble.  He said that these types of people will not hesitate to commit crimes for money.  

To prevent this from happening, he appealed to the people to work together to end the epidemic of cannabis.  On the other hand, the SP explained that keeping in mind the assembly elections to be held on November 30, strict measures are being taken to prevent any untoward incidents.  

The Task Force teams and the Sangareddy rural staff jointly conducted the inspections and seized the ganja.  The SP congratulated Inspector Mahesh Goud, Constable Ismail, Shanker and others who played a key role.  (Maxim News)
