87,000 HIV/AIDS Patients In Telangana: Prasanna Kumari

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (Maxim News): Telangana State AIDS Control Organization Additional Director Prasanna Kumari said that there are presently 87 thousand people infected with HIV/AIDS across the state who are using medicines and being tested regularly every year for the amount of virus in their blood.

Speaking to press persons, in connection with the World AIDS Day, on December 1, a meeting was arranged at the office of AIDS Control Society in Kothi, Hyderabad and made it clear that all the medicines are made available, people who use medicines regularly are living longer than before. She said that the deaths of people infected with AIDS have decreased. In addition to reducing the number of deaths in 10 years, new cases have also decreased.

Prasanna Kumari said that homeo medicines only boost immunity but do not kill the virus. She said that the medicines given by them do not kill, but neutralize the virus. She said that some patients are being misled that there are medicines for the prevention of AIDS, but there is no medicine to cure completely but only increase the immunity in the body.

She informed that on the occasion of World AIDS Day tomorrow, an awareness rally will be held from Bagh Lingampally Sundarayya Vignana Kendram to RTC Kalabhavan under the auspices of the society. Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare and Finance T.harish Rao will participate in this program. (Maxim News)
