Republic Day contingent makes NCC Directorate (AP&T) proud

Secunderabad, 02 Feb 2023: The Republic Day contingent of NCC Directorate AP & Telangana comprising of 01 Officer, 121 cadets, and ten other support staff have returned to Secunderabad after the successful completion of 30 days Republic Day camp at New Delhi.

The cadets from all 28 states of the country participated and competed in various national-level competitions held during the camp.

Sergeant G Prem Krithika of Secunderabad Group HQ made the directorate proud by being adjudged the Best Cadet in the Senior Wing Army category and was awarded the Best cadet trophy by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the PM Rally conducted on 28 Jan 2023 at Cariappa Parade Ground, New Delhi. Cadet Amoghvardaraj Naidu stood third in the Best Cadet Senior Division Naval wing category while Cadet V Siva Ganesh & Cadet CH Neethin Sai were awarded the DG NCC Medallion for standing fourth in Best Cadet Junior Division Army & Junior Division Navy category respectively.

The NCC RDC camp 2023 began at Cariappa Parade Ground, New Delhi on 01 Jan 2023 with the participation of 2155 cadets from across the nation. The camp was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice President of India and was visited by various important dignitaries like Raksha Mantri, Raksha Rajya Mantri, Defence Secretary, Chiefs of the three services of Armed Forces, Chief Minister of Delhi and culminated with the visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

It is a matter of pride that 09 Senior Division cadets and 09 Senior Wing cadets of NCC Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Directorate formed part of the NCC Boys & Girls Contingent that participated in the March Past at Kartavya path on the eve of Republic Day. The training of these cadets begins at Sub unit & Unit level in the month of September and after intensive training & selections at various levels, the final 121 cadets from all three NCC wings of the two states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana are selected to represent the NCC Directorate AP & Telangana at a national platform. The Republic Day camp is a life-changing experience for a Cadet and each one carries fond memories of it for the rest of their life.
